The kids went back to school the week after we got back from our trip. We had done a little more school shopping here in town and the kids actually seemed ready to head back. Even a little excited. They sure are growing up. They were all in school this year. Truman 9th, Prentice 7th, Cardon 3rd, and Chambers in 1st. It was nice as always to been more of a schedule and routine. Plus with this heat and me being so pregnant, they might as well be in school:) A few more weeks until I have a little one to keep me company at home.

Bear Lake
We always have a great time at the Leonard reunion every other year. We have enjoyed our time in Bear Lake so much this is the third time we have gone there. We were able to stay in a large cabin with most of Jer's family. We played at the beach a lot. It's always nice for the kids to reconnect with cousins, aunts, and uncles for this trip since we don't get to see them too often. We are all very different in his family but have fun being together. we are grateful to Linda and Phil for making family a priority and putting this together.
The first day we went to the beach for the day. We made french toast for everyone that morning with sausage. The next day we rented a boat for the first time. They boys tried wake boarding and did amazing. We couldn't believe how brave they were and how fast they caught on. Especially Cardon was determined to do it and made it look easy his first try! Prentice didn't want to try it this year but I bet she will next time. All the kids had fun tubing!
The kids slept in a triple bunk bed.
The boat actually over heated after lunch and they brought a wave runner to tow us back to shore. It took a while but was definitely an experience. The water got fairly choppy at this point so we tubed for a couple more hours before heading back. We always talk about maybe getting a boat so this was fun to see how it would be.
The next day Truman and Prentice went to the Minnetonka caves with Aunt Lisa and her family. We took the little boys on a razor ride with Grandpa and Grandma. We went to Ephriam's grave, a giant bear that used to roam that area. We ate lunch there and then headed home. Jer and I also did some exploring on the Razor in the evenings. It was beautiful with the flowers, trees, and cooler temps.
Truman and Prentice were able to take turns riding Grandpa's 4 wheeler. Maybe it would be fun to get them one! I think they get bored sometimes just riding in the back of the Razor, so I think they would have fun driving themselves.

Park City Tourney 2019
We always look forward to a weekend in Park City for Prentice's soccer tournament. I obviously didn't get a lot of pictures but it was a fun, cooler weekend. The girls fought hard to make it to the semifinals against some tough teams. It was their first time playing 11v11 and in the platinum bracket, so it was impressive they did so well. Prentice was able to score 2 goals and also contributed to other plays and goals. It was hard for her not to win, especially since they won the whole thing last year for Prentice. But she learned lot and challenged herself. We were also able to do some school shopping as well. We headed straight from Park City to Bear Lake for the Leonard Family Reunion.

Salt Lake Day 2
On the July 24th we were able to do fireworks with Lilly and Claire. The next day we went to "This is the Place" for the first time. We bought a yearly pass so hopefully we can go a few more times this year. We loved it. We did a lot of fun things for a few hours but didn't get to a lot of it. Glad we will be able to go again and see more. We had a picnic lunch before heading to Park City for Prentice's first tournament game.
Panning for gold was was a favorite...even for Jer!
One of my favorite parts was learning about the pioneers. I love learning about how they lived. Hopefully it also taught my kids how fortunate they are! They had fun playing pioneer games and did a few jobs kids their age would have done.
