I just had to post this picture of my MOM! For our mutual activity on Wednesday we played a game called "Where's Waldo." For those of you who aren't familiar with it, there are people from the ward wandering around the mall and the young men and young women are split into teams and have to find all of them. They key is to not look like yourself, but to not to stand out too much. The funny thing is there was another ward who happened to be doing it the same night, so there were about 20 Waldos wandering around the mall. My mom is wearing my husbands clothes. Even though all the youth in our ward know her, not many recognized her; they just walked right past.

Easter

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! Here are some pictures of ours. The kids got to decorate Easter eggs, play with grandparents, see what the Easter bunny spoiled them with, and pose for some Easter pictures before going to church. Our Easter was filled with fun and sugar, but we are also grateful for the true and inspiring meaning of the day.

Art Festival

Grandpa Phil and Grandma Linda came to St. George this weekend for a baseball tournament. We spent the day with them on Saturday and decided to go to the art festival in downtown St. George. It was actually a lot of fun to see the different kinds of art, and Truman had a blast playing in the water and getting his face painted. We finally had to drag him away with promises that we would come again soon.

St. Patrick's Day!

Prentice used to make this really annoying noise by vibrating her tongue on the roof of her mouth. The only difference is that now she does it a lot more. This video doesn't do the noise or the frequency of the noise justice, but it gives you a little taste at least.

We had a fun weekend with Uncle Anton. I'm not sure he was ready for craziness of having to deal with two kids, but it's good preparation for his upcoming baby, right? Truman adores him and asked for him every day. Thanks for hanging out. Here are some pictures of when we took Anton and the kids to feed the horses (Anton had more fun than Truman, I think). Anton, you don't have to wear your cowboy gear next time, but you sure looked good.
Dad plays with Prentice while Truman feeds the horse.

Truman finds some big weeds to feed the horse.

Truman feeds the horse.

Truman climbs the fence while no one is looking. No. He didn't make it up and over and into the corral, but we had to keep an eye on Anton, so he didn't.

Fishing

We went to Quail Lake over the weekend to take Truman fishing. If you're wondering why there aren't any pictures of the fish, it's because we didn't catch any! Truman had a blast anyway, especially pulling apart the worms to put on the hooks.

Truman plays on the sand hills while dad does all the work. He had so much fun. He loves to do anything that involves action or getting dirty and this involves both.

New Sandbox

Almost finished! Thanks Jer for working so hard on this project. It wasn't an easy project, but it looks great and the kids will love it! On to the swings and slides, right?

Prentice tasting the sand. Taste okay to make a sandbox? She actually didn't like the taste, but when she would try to get the sand out, she would just get more in her mouth. She didn't move from this spot the whole time we were there.

Truman is pretty excited about his new big sandbox. He was supposed to help make it, but mostly he recruited mom to play with him in it while dad worked.

Prentice smiles for the camera. Prentice, I think you have something on your chin.

Truman uses his shovel (he actually only used it for about 2 minutes) to help put sand in the truck. The rest the time he spend sliding down the huge sand hills.

A few updates

Why can I never get my kids to smile at the same time?

After all the struggles and timeouts throughout the day, this is when it is all worth it. Truman went and got his pillow and blanket and when I came into the family room, he had fallen asleep. It's hard to imagine he is such a wild child. I just wanted to stare at him.

Prentice can pull herself up to things now. Scary! Truman has a chipped tooth from doing this.

Prentice in the morning before mom does her hair.

Prentice Crawling

Prentice started to crawl at exactly 8 months to the day. It is funny because Truman also started crawling at exactly 8 months. Of course she did it when mom wasn't home, because when I'm there she won't leave my side. She crawls all over now, but still doesn't venture too far from whoever is with her. She will always crawl to her favorite blanket!

Fun Weekend

We just got back from our last minute weekend trip to Salt Lake. We went up because Jeremy had some work meetings he found out about at the last minute. Wednesday night we got to watch the Jazz play the Pistons in his company box. It was a great game. Basketball games are a lot more fun to watch when there are endless fajitas and buffalo wings. The kids stayed with Uncle Ernest and Emmalee while we went to the game. They witnessed first hand just how much food Prentice can put down. Apparently she liked the beans and rice. We were also able to sell my little Subaru Impreza Outback while we were there. A little sad to see my first car go. I will now have Jer's Camary and he has a new truck for work. The kids and mom had a nice visit with Grandpa and Grandma Ballam. The highlight of that visit was when they took us to McDonalds and I looked over to the play structure to see Truman running around without his clothes on. If that wasn't bad enough, the little brute was chest butting the other kids in there. Seriously, who's child does that? Oh, mine! A little embarrassing! Oh well, it's funny now, but not so much at the time. We spend two nights in a hotel and one night at Jeremy's parents house so we got to spend some time with them as well. Grandma Linda watched the kids a couple nights for us while we went to dinner. We so miss good eating places like Mandarin and Robintinos. We absolutely love St. George, but they could use a few more good restaurants.
