Day Trip

We went to MaryVale to meet up with Jer's parents for the day this weekend. It took us a little over 2 hours to get there. When we arrived we got to see Grandpa and Grandma's trailer and then we went for a ride on the Rhino (not the animal:). It was so much fun! All of us were able to ride in one, while Phil and Linda rode on the 4 wheeler. We got to see some really neat sights and the ruins of some old mines and mining carts. The kids were really good and enjoyed the ride. Truman helped dad drive, while I held Prentice. She would randomly put her arms about her head and say "wee" throughout the ride. The other thing that about made me melt was that Prentice and Truman kept reaching across the Rhino to hold each other's hand during the ride. I swear I have never seen either of them hold someone elses hand for that long. They also like throwing rocks in the water and playing in the trailer. Of course Jeremy thinks we need a Rhino or 4 wheeler now! Hopefully we are going to go with the whole family next year to spend a few days.

Anniversary

Truman brought his chair and snack out to watch the garbage truck.
Truman attempts to clean up the marker that he drew on the couch.
Anniversary dinner away from the kids up Cedar City Canyon. Priceless.

5 Years

Happy Anniversary! I can't believe it's been five years! Time flies by, and in our busy life I don't get to tell or show you how much you mean to me often enough. You're the most important person in my life and marrying you was the best decision I made. Thanks for five years and I am looking forward to many more. I love you more than ever, and know that you spoil me and I'm lucky to have you in my life. Thanks for taking care of me and always putting me first. I am grateful for our eternal marriage and the opportunities that we have and will continue to have because of this. I truly can't wait to spend forever with you and the kids. Know this day, that you're the ONE for me. Love you!
This is the only wedding picture I had on my computer. I know it's not the best, but you get the idea.

Jeep Ride

Truman has finally gotten the hang of how to drive his Jeep (well sort of). Whenever he's going to go for a ride he loads Prentice up, puts on her seat belt and then goes for it. The best part is he's a little to frequent on the gas so the rides a bit jerky, but as you can see by the video it doesn't even seem to phase Prentice. It's the same every time and Prentice still wants to go with him. She continually hits her head on the back of the Jeep, but never fusses. When Truman is done he always takes off her seat belt and helps/drags her out.

Sick Kid

Truman was sick yesterday with a fever and upset stomach. I know it's weird, but I love it when my kids are sick. Truman was so sweet and lovable and wanted me to hold him and rub his back. I really enjoyed taking care of him and babying him, because he doesn't give me the opportunity much. Unfortunately he's feeling better today, so it's back to chaos. I'm hoping Prentice will get it soon so I can do the same to her!

Scary Prentice

Prentice puts on Truman's mask from Mexico and loves to scare everyone. Of course Truman is always up for a chase. Truman is cracking up right now as he watches this.

Cute Kids

I love how Truman's hair is starting to curl at the ends. It makes it hard for me to want to cut it.
Truman is so cute with Prentice (most the time).

Play Dough

Best recent purchase. Truman spends hours rolling, pounding, measuring, and "fixing" his play dough.

Update

I feel like I haven't blogged for a while and if this is somewhat of a journal, I want to write a few things I've been up to. First of all, last Friday at midnight I was in line at Barnes and Noble with the young women and some of the leaders getting the much anticipated Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer. We actually ended up at Wal Mart because it was faster and cheaper and then at Dennys which I haven't eaten at since high school. At 2:30 the adults finally called it a night and we headed home. The next day I went to Vegas with some friends from church for eating, shopping, and socializing. In my typical fashion I didn't buy much, but it was so fun to be out with the girls. We got home late and that night I found out I would no longer be in young women's organization in our ward and that I would be joining the primary as secretary. Such a shock and I have had a hard time thinking I will be leaving some amazing women that I've worked with for a while. I will miss being with them so often, but change is hard at first and then it gets better, right? I keep telling myself that. At least Wednesday nights are open now that I won't have activities with the young women. Since Sunday all I have done is read Breaking Dawn. Every chance I have gotten I have been reading. I justified it by telling myself that as soon as I was done I could do everything I was neglecting so that faster I finished the faster I could resume my responsibilities. I want someone else to finish so we can talk about it. I don't know if I liked it as well as the other books in the series, but I finished off really well and I must have enjoyed it because I couldn't put it down.
